Suzuki - The Power Behind The Sea Cadets
DBPosted on 21 May 2010
The Sea Cadets is one of Britain’s largest maritime youth charities and is open to young people aged between 10 and 18. Supporting 14,000 young people in some 380 Units across the UK, with over 7,000 different boats, it offers a range of nautical adventure activities all with a naval theme and aims to challenge young people to help them grow in confidence.
Suzuki four stroke outboard motors are all technologically advanced, compact and fuel-efficient. With a range of engine sizes from the lightweight and portable DF2.5 to the powerful V6 DF300, Suzuki has an outboard for every application whether it's leisure or commercial use.
Tye Shuttleworth, RYA Training Officer for the Sea Cadets said, "We did a lot of research into the range of four stroke outboard motors available on the market today and it soon became clear that Suzuki was the brand to go for. Not only do they have excellent products that meet all our requirements but their approach to working in partnership with us has been first class."
Suzuki's association with the Sea Cadets doesn't stop at just supplying them with outboard motors. Suzuki will be helping the Sea Cadets with their training programmes and will be giving cadets the opportunity to gain experience of careers in the maritime industry.
Gareth Lumsdaine, Sales & Marketing Manager for Suzuki’s Marine Division said, "We are very pleased that the Sea Cadets chose Suzuki and are proud to be associated with such an important charity. We are looking forward to establishing a long-term working relationship with them.
