StaffDave Barham - Editor Dave has been a boat angler for over 30 years. He first stepped foot on a boat for a full 8-hour charter aged just four-and-a-half, and he's never looked back. Dave began his jounalist career back in 1994, when he joined 'Improve Your Sea Angling' magazine as a staff writer. Some four and a half years later he joined David Hall Publishing to edit 'Total Sea Fishing' magazine - a position he held for seven years, now fishing mad Dave is at the helm of BFM!
Dave has fished all over the world, and his best fish to date include a 275lb blue marlin on 40lb class stand up, plus a 96.5kg yellowfin tuna on 50lb stand up. He loves his shallow water fishing here in the UK, with bass being his favourite speceis. | Email Dave Barham Tel:01778 392433 | | Admin - Admin | | Email Admin | | Jayne Notley - Group Sales Manager | Email Jayne Notley Tel:01778391189 | | Paula Turner - Sales Executive | Email Paula Turner Tel:01778392445 | | Kim Channing - Marketing Executive | Email Kim Channing Tel:01778 392427 | | Amanda Clare - Designer | | Email Amanda Clare | | BFM subscriptions - To order a new subscription, back issues or amend/renew a current subscription contact our subscription team or click here | Email BFM subscriptions Tel:01778 392028

ContributorsJim O'Donnell - Boat and Safety Expert Jim is a great all-round angler and has been fishing for 31 years! He is also one of only a handful of skippers that holds an RYA Offshore Instructor's Certificate, which is why he is also the angling consultant for the RYA. Jim is also a qualified angling guide/coach with the Professional Anglers Association. He loves all types of fishing, but the silver tarpon is his favourite quarry. | | Des Westmore - Tackle and Technical Guru Des lived on the Isle of Wight all his life and for his day job he is an airframe design draughtsman. He began fishing in 1976 and has in the past served on club committees and also as chairman of the NFSA’s Isle of Wight division. He contacted Jim Whippy when Boat Fishing Monthly was launched and has been a regular feature writer ever since.
Des loves catching any species of fish on the right tackle but his favourite is bream, though catching any species of flatfish is always satisfying too. Dea also enjoys eating a percentage of what he catches and would describe his hobby as “Sport Fishing”. | | Simon Everett - Boat Tester and Kayak Abuser! Simon has been boating since he was in a cradle, he had his own boat by the age of 6, an 8-foot praam dinghy, in which he learned to row against the estuary tides of the River Fal and began his fishing career. By age 10 he had progressed to a 10-foot With dinghy and 3hp Evinrude motor. This took him to fishing marks within vive miles of the entrance to the Yealm in S. Devon, where the family now lived.
Simon built his first kayak at age 12, from plywood, to use for fishing in shallow waters and for exploring the nooks and crannies along the South Hams coastline. He also ran his dad's charter boat from Plymouth, with a Plymouth Boatman's Licence, on weekends and school holidays. From school Simon joined P&O as a navigation officer cadet, sailing as 3rd mate deep sea foreign going within four years. His experience of fishing, boats and boat handling and the sea has been in demand from magazines across Europe, the USA and the UK for over 20 years.
Simon is keen on sporting fishing of all kinds, especially light tackle fishing and fly fishing for sporting fish of all types. Sharks, bass and pollack being particular favourites in our waters.
